It's Over!!

Forgive me for being a little slow off the mark, but I only returned home yesterday evening.  The closing ceremony.  O.  M.  G.I'm going to go right ahead and shamelessly announce my undying love for the Spice Girls which only grew in the lead up to and during their performance.  They ooze girl power, independence (despite all of their men troubles - cough - Eddie Murphy - cough).  They're like Britain's answer to Destiny's Child, only with a distinct cheekiness and a little less booty.  Of course, I must comment on their outfits.
  • Scary - Mel B looked as ferocious as usual in her sequin emblazoned catsuit which would put Jessie J to shame.  She loved the Zuhair Murad bodysuit so much she wore it to bed that night.  I can't say I blame her.
  • Sporty - Didn't our other beloved Mel look amazing?! Another bodysuit makes an appearence this time in white with palazzo style bottoms.  And wedged trainers, I've never been a fan of those but I must admit she carried them off VERY well.
  • Ginger - Geri, My Dear, why didn't you wear the Union Jack dress? WHY? I felt cheated. This little Wonder Woman-esque number was lovely, though. I am partial to a few sequins myself so I understand the appeal in this dress, and I do like the flag on the bustle.
  • Baby - Bunton chose a very safe, hot pink mini dress with a plunging V neckline. The sequin shoulder accents? Awesome.  Love that.
  • Posh - Vicky B also stayed safe in a LBD by Giles Deacon.  She did look amazing, but was it a little too safe?
1...2...3...I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANNA ZIG-A-ZAG-AH

I struggled to contain myself the moment the trail of black trucks arrived with massive copies of Nick Knights images of Brit fashion for Vogue UK's prestigious September Issue, so you can imagine the excitement that ensued when the images dropped and stood behind them were arguably the most famous British models of late.  Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell glided effortlessly down the catwalk accompanied by Lily Cole, Karen Elson, Lily Donaldson, David Gandy, Jourdan Dunn and Georgia May Jagger (accompanied by the pout that made her dad ever so famous). It was fabulous.  I loved it.

What did everyone else think? I'd love to know!

Thank you!
