Girl Band Rivalry.

One thing that I've noticed a lot recently is the daring outfits of the likes of relatively new kids on the block, Stooshe and Little Mix, compared to the seemingly safe looks of, for example, The Saturdays.  Don't get me wrong I think that The Saturday have a lovely look going on, but is it time to get the claws out and match up tot he new girls, or is girls next door their thing?

In the red corner...newcomers...Stooshe
You'll know their hits Love Me and Black Heart but do you know their faces? Alexandra, Karis and Courtney former in 2011 and have since become the fierce, chart topping girls that we see today.  Pictured here in their typical attire, lots of bright colours, lots of patterns and oozing vibrancy.  Their looks are simple to recreate by only visiting high street stores such as Topshop and River Island.  Also pictured is Stooshe attending this years Brit awards.  Elegant, feminine, AND wearing Jeffrey Campbell Litas.  A*.

In the blue corner...X-Factor winners...Little Mix
I think from the moment Little Mix set foot into Tulisa's house on the party island of Mykonos we all knew they were a fashion force to be reckoned with.  Perrie, Jessie, Leigh-Anne and Jade dress in clothing that they know flatters them, in a world where paparazzi are around every corner no one wants to be caught off guard in sweatpants and a hoodie.  One thing that I like about these girls is that they dress how their fans and girls who idolise them should dress, sensible hemlines, youthful colours, don't get me wrong, I love seeing artists be daring with their wardrobes, but seeing Little Mix realise their impact and how much their fanbase looks up to them really is something that other musicians could learn to do.

Current heavyweight champions...THE SATURDAYS
Frankie, Una, Rochelle, Mollie and Vanessa were probably the next big girl band after Girls Aloud, hits such as All Fired Up and If This Is Love have helped the girls take the music industry by storm since 2008.  Now, pictured is the group all in matching colours and a theme of outfits (I'm seeing underwear as outerwear) and that is one thing that really irritates me with bands, each girl does have their own identity so why aren't they dressing to suit it?  Have a little personality, and a little fun! They often arrive at premiers in similar clothing, as did Girls Aloud.  Recently photographed in LA were Frankie, Vanessa and Mollie looking well and truly gorgeous, radiant and happy, but still wearing the same clothes as one another!! (I do love Vanessa and Frankie's belts)

I'm really not sure...as much as I adore The Sats style and it pains me to say, I do think girl bands a la Stooshe and Little Mix are the way forward, quirky, easy to copy, and fashionable.

Thank you!|
