Skulls!

A recent hot trend that spread from high end to high street was skulls.

The fashion house of Alexander                              McQueen is renowned for using skull prints in it's designs on anything from shoes and bags to scarves.   Each skull is adorned with a number of Swarovski crystals. The skull shoes directly from Alexander McQueen's online store can cost anything from £325 to £635, setting you back quite a bit!  The bags as pictures all surpass £1000 each.

However, I have found a number of high street alternatives that are as good as the real thing! Click the shop name to be taken to the piece.

  1. The inspiration behind this post - from Boohoo;  flat ballet style pumps with a skull on the toe piece for a respectable £20! Perfect to go with my cross print leggings for cooler summer nights.
  2. Now, three bags with an edge like a McQueen, Boohoo's "nina" bag, orange with a ring clasp, just right for this seasons "colour blocking" trend. Now, another Boohoo delight, this time a soft bag with skull print and a diamonte skull on the front, this bag would match with a comfy knit jumper, or a pair of skinnies and heels! An ideal capsule piece.  Finally, my very own prom bag, Missguided have worked their wonders on this gorgeous snake skin ring handle clutch bag.  Affordable, chic, stylish, amazing.
  3. Some T-Shirts which can be worn with neutral jeans, skirts, shorts and leggings next.  This cream tank top from New Look and this black tank top from Topshop both caught my eye straight away due to their sheer simplicity but high-end look.
  4. Jewellery - within minutes of opening up New Look and looking at the "Rebel" section I camer across some lovely little peices that will add a punky edge to any outfit - this ring, necklace and scarf all act as accents to really bring out the best in your outfit.
  5. And to finish, not a purse-friendly price at all...But look at these wonderful creations by Topshop! This waistcoat  and leather jacket might have been designed for the more well off among us, but that doesn't stop us from dreaming! Beautiful.
Thank you!
