Bath bombs from Lush are a classic Christmas present in my house so when my sister bought me 'Sakura' I was naturally excited to use it.  I was also just generally excited to have a bath - in university I am limited to my shower which is fine but obviously tricky to use a bath bomb in.  Not that I've tried...

'Sakura' is a floral scented bomb inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms.  I'm big into my floral scents, as a peek in to my perfume collection will confirm.  The Lush website says 'this pretty bomb is designed to evoke the burst of optimism the first sign of spring brings' and with exams just around the corner that is optimism I need.

If you're after a dynamic, exciting bomb then perhaps this one isn't for you.

It fizzes and moves but unlike a lot of bombs from Lush it doesn't release bright colours or give the bath a pretty hue.  For me, that was fine as I just wanted all of the smells, and trust me they were divine.  A review on website compares it to being like sleeping in a Japanese tea garden, not something I can vouch for but I imagine it's very similar.

To conclude - if you're after something that will make you smell incredible and feel like a fairy queen I wholeheartedly recommend Sakura.  I've had a bubble bar as well - hopefully that will be put to use and maybe even reviewed before I go back to Liverpool.

So, if you're revising like me get yourself a bath bomb and be chilled and happy.

It appears i haven't blogged since dip dyeing my hair back in the middle of June - ta daaaaaah!

Well now you've seen it let's not mess around, i've just come back from a trip to my local outlet shopping centre, Mcarthur Glen with my very own hair chalk.  I've wanted one since I dyed my hair but they never had them in stock...UNTIL TODAY!  I went for blue because it's my favourite colour but they had orange, pink, green and purple too.

All you do is clamp it over your (dry) hair like straighteners and then run it down the desired length.

And here is the result....

My opinions are mixed, I'll start with the negatives (these are very user-error related) ...
  • it's SO messy :-(.  My chest and hands are bright blue, it's comical but somewhat smurf-like.
  • it's almost all gone, as you may be able to tell by the photos, it disappeared really quickly, that might have somewhat to do with me just having a lot of hair though.
Aside from that, it's brilliant!  I love the different shades going on and it would be perfect for a festival weekend or holiday.  I'll definitely be investing in more of them and testing out more colour combos.

So I've made my first video post and I would love you to take a look!

I talk about my first Drapers magazine, enjoy and let me know what you think!  It would be awesome if you could subscribe to my channel as well, and I'd love to hear any suggestions for future videos!

So what feels like an eternity ago my friend Charlotte won four free tickets to see an early viewing of  'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'.  Now, I've been meaning to write about this for ages, so here goes.

If you love the book, you'll love the film.  Honestly, although many books to film adaptations are disappointing, I thoroughly enjoyed this, I think that has a lot do with the fact that Stephen Chbosky wrote the screen play as well as the book.  If you enjoy emotional films then it's definitely for you, we cried most of the way through.  Logan Lerman plays the "introvert freshman" alongside Ezra Miller and Emma Watson as the "two seniors who welcome him to the real world".  There are a few underlying and ambiguous themes within the film, making it all the more interesting as it gives you a lot to think about and consider, but I do think that could be where it is handy to have read the book.  All in all, excellent film, excellent book.  Watch and read! Let me know what you think.

Also - my outfit! I wore a white lace peter pan collar top from topshop, with blue denim skinny jeans and a blazer! Casual and smart.

Thank you!

I watched "The September Issue" earlier, the documentary about the prestigious Vogue issue released every September. In the fashion industry, September marks the beginning of a new year, it is then that we can identify the trends, colours, textures that we will see in the following seasons.
