The choice brand of Jay-Z has collaborated with everyone's favourite kicks producers - Converse.  On September 20th you could (for a cool $200) get your hands on these delectable trainers.

You may be wondering, "are they two different pairs of shoes?" and if you are, you would be mistaken.  These converse are painted in trademark Margiela white paint and through every day wear the paint flakes off and unveils the real shoe colour underneath.  You can pick from red, black, navy and yellow as the base colour, and either Chuck Taylors (the shoes pictured) or Jack Purcell's (the shorter shoes).

Personally, as a lover of both brands, I adore them but I have seen mixed opinion elsewhere. I understand the arguable impracticality of the shoe but let's just remember, if you're going to pay $200 for a pair of high heels, will they always be practical?

In case you hadn't yet guessed from my previous post I have had a pretty good week this week. I'd like to take this opportunity to reiterate my point and say - definitely do courses like that! One of the most insightful things I have ever done. I did, however receive some awful news on the last day, this week my poor dog who has been suffering from canine epilepsy passed away. It has been one of the saddest parts of my life for a few years, anyone with a dog knows how attached you become so it's almost been like losing a friend and it had upset me an awful lot. :( Boooo.

This weekend, however I was cheered up greatly. On Friday some friends Rebecca and Meredith from drama held a 'Midsummer Extravaganza'  for their 18th Birthday - It was wonderful and magical and great.  I wore a halterneck white dress which was kind of Marilyn Monroe-esque.  I loved it.

Then today it was my good pal Sophie's birthday so she kindly had our lot of friends over for a barbecue to celebrate that it was sunny (yup, we celebrate). I had one of the best afternoon/evenings, it was the type of evening that makes you appreciate your group of friends more than you do every day. I'm gonna leave it now before I cry or something. I LOVE MY FRIENDS.

Pretty short post this week because I told you what I've done already once! I'm off to Barcelona on Thursday so a week of (putting off) packing awaits me.

(pls ignore how strange my formatting has gone I did try to fix it but sleepy)

Hello lovely people, how are we all on this rather miserable Sunday?  I've had a quiet day really just doing little bits of preparation for London as I begin my course in London College of Fashion on Tuesday which is all very exciting!  I also finally after beginning in the middle of May have finished all six seasons of Gossip Girl.  I cried like a small baby whilst watching the last episode, I actually thought I was broken, (I am trying not to give much away) but when Serena walked down the stairs looking all fierce and radiant and everyone was standing and looking at her I just couldn't handle it.

For the most part of this week I have been helping out at a Performance House Summer School putting on 'A Very Potter Musical' which is a satire of the Harry Potter series written by Darren Criss from Glee back when he was studying at the University of Wisconsin.

The musical has everything you need to make a brilliant show from painfully catchy songs, familiar characters and a good few chorus pieces, killer harmonies, AND an 11 minute opening number.  The amount of talent we had made casting extremely difficult but we definitely ended up with a hilarious, brilliant cast.

Good luck to the rest of the Summer Schools which I unfortunately cannot attend! I'm off to discover the next doctor now, I'm hoping Olivia Coleman but I was in the same drama group Aneurin Barnard went to so it would be amazing if he got it!

HEYAAAAAAAAAAAAA, who would've thought I'd have made it to 10 Sunday Scoops?  I wasn't sure.

I've had the best week, PR was generally something I'd thought about but it was never really something I knew about that well.  However, After my week of work experience, I would happily take a job in the field tomorrow if I got offered.  It caters to myself well due my nature, I work best under pressure, love to write (which is what I focused on really) and can be super organised! Also it probably helped a lot how nice and welcoming everyone at the Freshwater office was, by the end of the week I actually felt like I worked there.

So it as been a pretty busy week, and from one busy week I move on to the next busy week, fantastic.  It is finally Duke of Edinburgh time.  Now I would be lying if I said I was excited for it, but I'm sure it'll be a laugh, I'm undecided about how I feel over the weather - I would rather it be boiling than freezing I suppose! Although it does mean I'll have to wear a hat.  -shakes head-

Today we woke up to the sad news that Glee actor Cory Monteith has passed away, I cannot even imagine how his poor fiancée Lea Michele is feeling.  My heart breaks more every time I read about it :(

I know it isn't a selfie but what it is is really ugly walking shoes.  That's life.

Remember that time I could sustain sleeping early and waking up early? Nor do I.  In case you haven't gathered I've been struggling with the whole waking up at 6am thing so I forgot to post!  No need to fret, friends, I am here.

Instead of one decent picture I present you three shoddy (and two embarrassing bathroom mirror) shots.  Easy outfit - New Look high waisted trousers in navy and a cream lace effect back jumper.  I absolutely adore the red shoes I found in Primark! I actually forgot to take a picture today *facepalm* but I wore my skirt from Tuesday and top from Monday!

It's a slightly ambiguous title, but it's something that fully occurred to me yesterday. I know it's something you hear everyday but the reality of it is often overlooked. I don't mean it in the sense that y'know, if you don't ask to be woken up you won't be, as true as that is. Yesterday I took the forty minute walk to my local town centre to run some errands for my parents as they're attending a wedding on Saturday. And I realised, had I not pushed things like blog posts, I would not have had some of the opportunities that I have had. If I had not asked About.com to take a look at my blog, I in turn would not have been asked to to write a guest post here. If I had not asked Drapers to take a look at my Vlog then they would not have used it at Pure22. So yesterday I put it into practise again. I visited a vintage shop that I adore and asked if Jo, the owner of the shop would mind me writing a post about the shop, she said of course she wouldn't and eventually, we reached a rather exciting conclusion and eventually we will have a very nice post! I work as a student tutor at The Performance House and without asking, "could I help you guys out rather doing acting myself?" - 18 months later and I don't regret asking one bit. In September I will progress to be an assistant tutor. If I had not asked, I would not be in this position.

I hate to preach, but if you do one thing today, make the first move, ask for something.

Now, that could well have been the cheesiest post I've ever written so lets finish that now. Have a nice Thursday!

Its bank holiday Monday, the sun is shining, I've spent the day revising and now I'm going for a barbeque with my lovely friends.  It''s been and is continuing to be a good day.

my Primark sandals from my vlog!

I made this skirt from a dress I no longer wear, its chiffon and super summery, I love it already!  Teamed with a stud collar denim shirt.   Also I kept accessories to a minimum wearing only stud earrings and a really cute birdcage necklace!

For all of the well read among you, the title of this post will tell you a lot about the content.
The Great Gatsby.

As some of you may know the brilliant novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald has been turned into a film by Baz Luhrmann starring Leo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan and it will next month open the Cannes Film Festival, and I am positively buzzing.  Not even solely from a fashion aspect, although the trailer makes the costumes look unquestionably incredible, as the fashions were in the roaring twenties, but musically also.  Don't get me wrong, I don't have a musical bone in my body, I can neither sing nor play an instrument but when I found out the Executive Producer of the musical score was the one and only Jay Z I let out a small yelp of excitement.  Then as you can imagine I began having heart failure when I discovered her majesty Beyonce had covered Back To Black by the late Amy Winehouse (whom I adore beyond belief).  AND the one and only Lana Del Rey has a new song for the film. I'm not even going to talk about the rest of the soundtrack, so much flawless, such little me.

Well, you have a month, if you haven't yet read The Great Gatsby it is free on iBooks so you have access to an apple device you have literally no excuse.

I've been after a nude nail varnish for so long and on the weekend I finally got around to ordering a Barry M one from Chelsea Doll.

Although I'd never actually bought Barry M before I'd heard great reviews of it so assumed that it woud be great.  Now, I don't know whether it's just because it's a pale colour but it was SO thin! I did three coats but some of my nails still weren't completely covered.

They were okay but I haven't found my perfect nude nail varnish yet! What do you recommend?

A work space is one of the most important things to have when starting to write.  Welcome to mine, my desk.  I do everything from my desk - I am in fact writing this post from my desk.

Here it is! It's super simple, just a desk covered with a Cath Kidston style linoleum material.  I've got a small, old sewing machine for any little bits of textiles that I ever need doing, plenty of photos, as I love being surrounded by images of my friends and family and a pinboard covered in postcards, quotes I like and snippets from magazines.

My singer machine and some of the photos.

Button jar and pin cushion, purely because you really never know when you need them.  (and my passport photos in the background)

My favourite things - Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, I've also got a bigger one which sits on my bed.  And a matching mug.

What's your work space like?

I'm going to start off by saying that Bath is the prettier place I have ever been to and if they did a university course relevant to me I would be there in a heartbeat. But they don't. So let's move on.

I went to Bath Costume Museum with school and had a really nice afternoon. We set off at about 9 and got there by around 10:30 - as soon as we drove into Bath I realised I'd been there before and my love was reignited (if you live there, I am so jel). The museum itself was quite small, with a "50 Fabulous Frocks", a section about the history of fashion which was really helpful for exams and a room holding some previous winners of the "Dress of the Year" award, including the most stunning Alexander McQueen dress I have ever seen.

We did treat ourselves to a Starbucks afterwards, and a trip to Cath Kidston!

Have you ever been to Bath? What did you think? I'd love to hear!
