THE DAY FINALLY CAME, I WENT TO SEE RIHANNA. I'm not even going to pretend I could contain myself because to be honest I couldn't, last time I saw her she was phenomenal and I've had high expectations for this time.

I seen to have developed really shaky hands so apologies for the poor photos. I originally thought I would have gone for my vintage Levi's shorts, the top I bought last time I saw Rihanna, a New Look gold chain necklace and my normal jewellery.

I've got my yellow and black crackle nails (I'm having to settle for my sister's nail polishes at the moment as I rather stupidly packed mine)

However whilst walking home I changed my mind.

Generally the same, just with a waterfall hem skirt. I'm not sure why, I was feeling the skirt.

So, the concert. It was incredible. I arrived as David Guetta began his set so I missed 'GTA' who by the sounds of it were it were good but I didn't miss much. I've seen David Guetta before at V Festival - he was amazing then and amazing now. As I was seated rather than standing I found Rihanna better but others I have spoken to who were standing found the reverse. I'd imagine that has to do with how good Guetta is with the crowd. My favourite part of the night was probably my dad jumping up and dancing to the drop of Titanium, hilarious. The main act herself, Rihanna, was as incredible as she was before. The set list was incredible and I didn't think there were any songs she didn't sing that she should've, I loved the older songs she did like Take A Bow and Hate How Much I Love You but for me Stay absolutely stole the show. No. Words.

Upon reaching the end of my final week off school for study leave I have reached a conclusion...these six weeks back in school are going to be long, boring and possibly a little pointless. We're all in for two weeks (Also, my birthday is in two weeks...just saying) then we have four weeks to complete work experience, so there will be four weeks of half empty classes! I think I'm just trying to come up with reasons I don't want to go in and wake up early. Boo-hiss.

I've spent this week watching Gossip Girl (still) and walking to Bridgend to pick my sister up from school, which was slightly frustrating because its a 40 minute walk, one way. I even managed to sunburn my shoulder, I suppose it's all toning my legs so I can't complain.

Today I went to meet my mum and Caitlin at the end of Mairs Walk, a local charity walk that they participate in, it's a lovely day so I donned my new white crop tee and a grey maxi skirt.

I'm going to spend the rest of the day wishing I was watching Iggy Azalea at Parklife festival and inwardly complaining ahoy having to get back to school tomorrow. Much fun.

I almost forgot - Rihanna tomorrow woohoo!!!!

  1. Yankee Candle Cool Pops - My friend Molly knows how much I love candles, especially Yankee candles so when she sent me a picture of these I immediately fell in love with them. If I buy one I will definitely buy the coconut one, I adore coconut - in fact as I type this I'm wearing coconut body butter and wishing we had more coconut in the fridge. I also love the little ice cream can holder. It's all way too cute.
  2. Marc Jacobs/Michael Kors Watch - I've always liked watches but I've never had much luck with them, my last one suffered a death after I started dancing in my kitchen and it flung off onto the slate floor, not my finest moment. These watches are just b-e-a-u-tiful but slightly extortionately priced. So I must admit I have bought a £12 replica off eBay, it's rose gold and beyond pretty.
  3. Mom Jeans - really, Ellie? I hear you say.  I'm not sure either, I was innocently browsing Topshop and I fell in love with a pair. I think they're my new item of clothing that I have to admire from a distance, next time I'm in Cardiff I am definitely trying a pair on. At least then I won't have been defeatist and I will have tried! May have to settle for dungarees, which I'm certain may suit me less.
  4. Rihanna Diamonds tour t-shirt - I'm going to see Rihanna next Monday and as I've seen her once at Madison Square Gardens I really want a British tour top to go with my American one.
  5. Bethany 'Brooklyn Beats' dress  - I do not know why I love it, I just know I love it. I don't feel like discussing this one as I'm not 100% sure if I should love it as much as I do. Help.

Way back in July I posted a super excited post about Rihanna's collab with River Island and how it was due in March.  Well, it appears March is nearly upon us.  As it Rihanna's collab! I love it.  It's so simple yet so Rihanna, the kind of capsule wardrobe I would assume she has herself.  Simple items from varsity jackets and cropped tees to beautifully elegant yet somewhat casual maxi dresses can be teamed with edge biker boots with stiletto heels and snapbacks.  I'm going to see Rihanna in Cardiff in June so I feel I may have purchase something to wear...It's only fair after all.

Love the button detail of her trademark 'R' on these denim hotpants...certainly in with a chance of meeting my wardrobe!

Here's a link to the facebook page where you can see all of the collection - minus the prices so far!

What's your favourite?  I'd love to hear.

This season is already looking like it's going to be a cold one so trouser are going to be very much in!  But what ones?  There's so much choice, you've got simple leggings, patterned leggings all the way to hareem pants.  That's where I come in!  Read on for my guide to this season's trousers.

I'm going to start with these lovely trousers from online store Desire Clothing, which I think are really lovely and casual.  The ones that I have chosen are cropped stone coloured chinos with a belt, in the style of Rihanna.  I'd pair these with a blouse (such as the one Rihanna is wearing in the link).
I'd say dark but neutral colours would be best to complete this look, with brown brogues.  Also on Desire are these chinos which are similar but a rust colour instead, I like the look on the website with the denim sleeveless shirt - this could also work with the lighter colour.

These printed trousers from New Look are so pretty!  The pattern is not too garish or overpowering but at the same time they're a statement piece of clothing.  To be worn with a plain white or cream top, I'd go with a peter pan collar blouse.  If you're after patterned trousers these ones from Boohoo are gorgeous, palazzo pants are quite summery but I think could easily  be dressed with a thick knitted cardigan.  I love the way the model wears them with a disco body suit, I think it really smartens up the look, and at £10, how can you resist?

Hi!
So, time for a hot topic.  Creepers.  Love them or hate them, they're everywhere.

I'm going to try something different.  I'm going to begin a feature called "Style File" in which I take a photo of someone (could be anyone, anywhere, at anytime) and with a series of questions, I document their style.  I'll start with myself.
I think a staple item in anyone's wardrobe is the band top.
Today it was announced that Rihanna is going to collaborate with River Island for a capsule collection due to hit the shelves next March.
